« Tasted like rest stop machine hot cocoa »
It was like pouring hersheys syrup into hot water. Im not sure how you can make it taste palatable. I tried the Milka variety and was more pleased, but it comes with a milk disc. I returned this product after one cup.

    « Suchard hot chocolate T-Disc »
I just recieved my hot chocolate t-disc today and I couldn't wait to open it and try one. I had read some reviews saying that it was very watery or use one of the creamer t-disc's with it. I think the hot chocolate by itself tasted wonderful, the key is using the right cup and amount of water. I know from experience for the "regular" coffee t-disc that if you use a bigger cup allowing room for more water it taste better therefore I dont have to add sugar or cream to it. I purchased 2 tassimo mugs with my tassimo machine because it was designed to hold the perfect amount of water, i dont have to do any adjusting to the teas or hot chocolate with it. My first cup of hot chocolate isn't watery, or muddy colored as I have heard before. Its creamy and tastes like real homemade hot chocolate.

« The kids love it! »
I got the Tassimo coffee machine but my kids absolutely love the Suchard chocolate. This is their weekend morning treat. The Tassimo is so easy to use they prepare their chocolate, then they make ME coffee. How cool is that? They add a bit of French Vanilla coffee mate for extra flavor punch.

    Highly recommended.

« Very good hot chocolate!! »
For those of you that think this hot chocolate tastes like water, I would guess that you are probably the same people that put 4 tablespoons of sugar in a single serving of coffee. To me, this is very good quality hot chocolate that doesn't taste too rich or too watery. It tastes very good by itself without adding milk, sugar, or anything else. As with anything you brew in the Tassimo machine, if you want an even flavor from the first sip to the last, then you need to STIR your drinks. I have used several of these chocolate discs, and never had a problem with chocolate being left over in the disc. Of course, I shake the disc well before the brewing process (per instructions on the packaging).

Additionally, because these discs aren't too sweet OR too watery, it is easy to combine them with other things. I like to use one of these discs along with one disc of Gevalia Espresso and the flavor is awesome. The chocolate doesn't overpower the espresso and the espresso doesn't overpower the chocolate. It tastes great!

Another thing I like to do (especially for the kids) is to line the bottom of the mug with small marshmallows BEFORE you brew the hot chocolate. This way, it melts about half of each marshmallow and leaves the other half floating on top for a really tasty treat. Again, stir your drink for best results.

I'm sure this product would taste great if you added milk to it, but so far I have never felt the urge to do this. That is saying something for such a hardcore milk drinker as myself.

« 140 calories of chocolate flavored sugar water...not rich »
I think kids would like this cocoa just for the sweetness and the chocolate flavor amd if you want something light just to ease a chocolate craving I think it could be a good treat. However, for me I found it missed the mark.

It's chocolate syrup that you mix with water via your Tassimo. It tastes that way to me...not rich and creamy and, for me, it left me still wanting something more.

The price is far better than the Milka brand cocoa for Tassimo which is European chocolate because, as of the time of this review, I can't get free shipping on that one and it's priced higher to begin with. But Milka is an excellent and creamy cup of cocoa so I am still searching for it locally for my Tassimo. I was excited to find this one at a lower price point hoping it was the same but...for me, I'd rather eat a 140 calorie snack and feel like I had a treat than spend the 140 calories on what seemed like flavored water and wasn't at all filling.

I'm surprised there aren't more cocoa choices yet for the Tassimo. Starbucks has an excellent cocoa that they have for some coffeemakers but I can't find that one for my Tassimo...still, I'd rather have powdered cocoa from an envelope than this one, I'm sorry to say. I'll stick with paying more for Milka and having it less often and will keep waiting for Starbucks cocoa to arrive on Amazon which is similar in taste to the Milka brand when tried in other coffee systems.
