    « Accurate, Accurate, Accurate....FINALLY »
I have looked everywhere for an accurate scale. I checked with consumer reports and discovered scales aren't even rated b/c there are "too many variables" (uneven surfaces, balance, ect) that can cause different readings. Then I researched the Eat Right scale. I read the reviews and finally ordered it. Its true, it is accurate!!! Like it or not, it is consistant and factual. The number that comes up on the scale is the correct number, over and over again. I used it in different rooms, same number. I used it with one foot in the air, same number. Was that so hard all you other companies who produce inaccurate scales? If you can't make it correctly, DON"T make it. THANK YOU to Eat Smart company for doing what everyone else was not able to do... which is produce an accurate scale.

« It's OK but not as great as I was hoping »
So, first let me say that I don't dislike this scale enough to return it. I've waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to be sure I'd had enough time with the scale to validate my one concern. Overall I like it. I like that I can just step on it--no tapping. I like how big the numbers are--very easy to read. My one concern is that it seems to be fairly accurate but only after I mess with it a little. It seems to remember the last weight it measured. I only get on the scale once or twice a week and am finding that I have to hold something that weighs a few pounds to get it to "reset". Then, I step off and wait for it to turn off. Then I step on it again and it registers my new weight. My weight doesn't fluctuate much each week. I'm doing Weight Watchers and at most, I lose two pounds in a week now. I was hoping for a scale that I didn't have to fiddle with to get an accurate reading but this isn't frustrating enough for me to spend even more money on another scale that I might not be any happier with.

    « Just OK scale »
No real happy with this purchase. It doesn't seem to measure weight consistently and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the scale. I will say that it does looks nice.

« EatSmart Bathroom Scale - Excellent Choice »
I searched for a new bathroom scale for a few weeks, but I kept coming back to the EatSmart Bathroom Scale. The sleek modern look as well as the digital viewing are beyond what I expected. You don't even have to tap on the scale to turn it on. Just stand on the scale and immediately you see your weight including ounces, which is helpful for me as I'm trying to lose weight!! A definite A++++ choice!

« cheaply made, but its a good scale. »
After having two good EatSmart scales (kitchen and bathroom) I decided to buy two of these (one for me and one to replace my roommates scale I broke). My roommates worked perfectly, and still does (although it arrived missing the pad under one of the feet, which was annoying but I don't think it affected the weight). Mine, however, seemed to work for a couple months and then started giving crazy measurements. I'd step on, 144.4 pounds. Pick up a 2-lb weight and step on again and it was the exact same. step on backwards and it was 147.2. Things that made absolutely no sense! I tried to live with it for a couple months figuring it would generally give me a sense of my weight, but finally got fed up and contacted the company. They sent me another scale that week! I have had the new one for 2 months and have had no problems with it. I'm fairly certain the old scale worked when I got it, but I was in the process of losing weight so I may have just attributed the fluctuating numbers to weight loss when it was an issue with the scale. I'm not sure, but either way I know for sure it wasn't working after a couple months when I stopped losing weight and could see the scale was all over the place.

I got my scale before they switched to "step-on technology" and I'm so glad I did. The whole reason I got this scale was to replace my EatSmart scale WITH "step-on technology". I prefer to spend a few seconds calibrating the weight every time I weigh myself, rather than spending 10 seconds calibrating it once and then having the ability to just step on every time after that, so long as you don't move the scale. I worry the scale has been moved, so I ended up doing the 10 second calibration every time instead of the quick 2-3 second one. I wouldn't buy it again now that it has "step-on technology" but if thats something you're looking for, this is a good bed. Solid scale with excellent company support/replacement if it is defective.
