« Problem Solved! » I needed something that would allow me to read while my husband could sleep. This is exactly what I had invisioned and it works even better than expected. The light is nice and bright and I really like the 2 settings. It does secure to books easily although not as great to paperbacks. Still works great though. I definitely recommend this product. « Great Multipurpose "book" light » I Thought I was buying a BOOKlight, but as someone else mentions, it doubles as an extendable flexible hands-free flashlight when crawling around under the computer desk looking for the pesky loose connection somewhere back there around a corner in the dark. One caveat for computer users: There's a magnet on the back of the battery case so this small unobtrusive light need never get lost in the desk clutter. It can perch happily on the side of a metal filing cabinet or other equipment. Just don't toss it loose into a bag with your backup drives and disks. Rating: (5 out of 5) @ 2010-09-01

« Where's the 10 star option? » This book light is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! It goes so much farther than just a book light or notebook light... I've used it in vehicles to illuminate hard to see areas where car lights just don't reach to in a dark vehicle, as well as using it as a flashlight... The 5 LED's are awesome and provide that perfect amount of light for reading or typing, the neck is very sturdy, the USB functionality is brilliant, and the blue contrast lights are greatly appreciated especially when trying to finish those last few pages late at night when your eyes are tired! The magnet is awesome, and strong for its size, and lastly, the clip is very strong and holds the light stable when reading! A++ on design.. Rating: (5 out of 5) @ 2010-08-22

« Great All-purpose Light » This product is more that I hoped for. In addition to being ideal for reading and computing in the dark, I have found it makes a great tent light as well. I was worried about the blue backlights mentioned in the other reviews, but I found that I like them even though I can see how they would be a problem with someone trying to sleep nearby. It is a bit heavy for reading paperbacks, but this is not a big problem. Perhaps scaling back to 3 lights (with a couple of spares) run by only 2 batteries would be better, I don't know. I worried about the magnet getting close to my laptop and ruining it, so I kept an entire backpack compartment between the 2 and faced the magnet away with positive results, so I'm looking forward to using the magnet in still more lighting applications.
