    « Great product »
From unpacking the HD to setting up the automatic back up - I have enjoyed this HD. Not only does the software work great, the HD looks great too. Good buy so far.

    « Sleek, Easy to Use....Perfecto! »
Nothing much to say, it does what an external HD should do...store your information RELIABLY and without hassle. 1TB at the price I got it at is considered a steal, very happy with my purchase.

Package arrived 2 days after order was processed, packaged appropriately.

« 2 weeks in and works great »
I was looking for a product to use to backup the files on my laptop, mainly downloads from iTunes, lots of music, TV Shows and Movies and the Seagate 1TB drive works great. I am not completely sold on the FreeAgent software that comes with it, however you don't have to use it, there are plenty of other programs that can be used. It also looks really cool with the lights lit up. I ended up purchasing two of them.

« Great price but flakey »
I've had this 1tb drive for about a week and twice when I've gone to this new drive it shows no files in all of my folders but does show that I'm using 200gb of space on it. Rebooting my computer made no difference. Unplugging it and then plugging it back in "restores" the files and all is good but I'm not that happy with "loosing" 200+gb of data. Yes, it has the current software loaded.

I have another 250gb external HD that has worked without any problems for the last 2 years. It's loud but has never "lost" my data. This Seagate is very quiet and much better looking then my older one. I was either going to get the WD My Book 1tb drive or this one but after reading the reviews of the My Book I went with the Seagate even though it was more money.

    « Unreliable hard drive »
First unit lasted 10 days, after that it would run for about 4 hours before shutting down. I RMA'ed for another hoping it was just a defective unit. Now second unit is dead. When powered up it just beeps. I am software engineer and not new to hd's of all sizes/manufacturers. Avoid this unit!
