This uses the compact 1.4 ah 18v lith ion battery, NOT COMPATINLE WITH STANDARD NI CAD !*V OR !*V 3.0 ah Lith Ion batteries....Milwaukee in their wisdom made the mounts different to screw all us with standard 18v tools. Do yourself a favor, buy the DeWalts where all the 18v batts fit all the 18v tools..........
