This is the second brand of dog shampoo we have tried. We liked them both but prefer this one. It leaves a nice sheen on our Schnauzer's coat, does not irritate (at least he does not object, even when it gets around his eyes). It is low sudsing and easily rinsed. It has a pleasant, subtle odor.

The Urban Dog Shampoo is the first I've tried from the Spa Dog line, but unlike my dog's previous shampoos, this one leaves him smelling fresh! He is a large dog (75lb) with short fur. Urban dog leaves his fur shinier and softer than other shampoos.
I do find that it doesn't suds as much as my other shampoo, and I therefore use more of it to cover my doggy. I basically use about 1/3 of the bottle every time he gets a bath. So it may not be as economical as your cheaper variety high sudsing shampoos, but I still like it a lot!

Ever tried a dog shampoo and it just smells like a dog product? Well this is totally not the case for this line. What's great about Spa Dog are the botanicals. This would definitely appeal to dog owners who use products such as Origins and Kiehl's on themselves. The dogs are left shiny, smooth and incredibly clean smelling. They don't feel like they've been covered in perfumes. After their weekly baths I just want to pet and cuddle my dogs.

Excellent shampoo

I started using this product after a friend recommended it to me, and I am very thankful. My lab is a typical, get into everything no matter how dirty or stinky lab so she gets bathed quite frequently. This shampoo smells wonderful and leaves her coat very shiny. It also rinses out quite easily.
I will not buy another shampoo for her! Urban dog is the best.

I just tried the Urban Dog Shampoo on my big ole urban mutt. After he rolled in some awful unidentifiable thing on the beach, I thought a bath might be in order...the shampoo worked beautifully. It cleaned his coat thoroughly with one application, rinsed out easily and completly, and smells good, not like medicine or household cleaner! Non-irritating to the dog, which makes it non-irritating for me.
Your dog deserves this stuff.
