We permanently glue 2 inches of quality memory foam to 3 inches of supporting foam. This is a critical step (yet an expensive step so you will find most memory foam dog beds do no do this) -- otherwise the longer your dog sleeps or rests upon a dog bed made only of memory foam, they would sink deeper and deeper into the memory foam until they finally hit the floor - creating a painful pressure point and defeating the whole purpose of memory foam. Microfiber cover is durable, sturdy, long-wearing, and washable. One side is a snuggly coffee colored sherpa, other side is coffee colored faux suede microfiber. Coffee colored decorative piping. Extra long zipper makes the cover easy to remove for washing. We use a high quality microfiber that sheds dog hair easily. Vet recommended.
