No More Cold Feet

I spend most of my evenings at the PC on my desk in the basement. Needless to say, the floor is cold and a draft comes from the next room. I just received the Vornado and I no longer go to bed with cold feet. It is great as I don't want to heat the whole basement, it takes very little power, has simple control switches and makes a nice foot rest as well. I would have given it 5 stars except that the the low heat setting doesn't seem to put out any heat and the fan is a little noisy on high.

This is a great product!! It works especially well under my desk at work. I live in Michigan and work in an old, drafty school building. When the winter winds howl it is VERY cold in my office. This space heater is just right for freezing cold, blustery winter days. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't get really, really warm. I previously had a similar type of under-desk heater, which died last winter. This current model is not as powerful as the old model. It is still nice and toasty warm, but on days when the wind-chill is below zero it has to work harder and longer to keep the warmth flowing. HOWEVER, I would be very, very uncomfortable without it. I'm very happy with this item.

Excellent, Very Quite Warmth

I heated my home office with a ceramic space heater. The space heater usage increased our monthly electric bill from $65 to $100. Decided on this heater, because of the low power consumption, passive massage and cooling fan functions. Very quick delivery, started using it immediately at my computer desk. In a cold room the LOW setting is barely noticeable. However the HIGH setting is wonderful. It takes about five minutes to feel the full impact of the HIGH setting. Rubbing my feet across the massage bumps relieves my foot and leg tension. It does give out an electrical odor when first used but that goes away after one hour. The fan noise is miniumum, and does not disturb phone conversations. Only suggestion is a small temperature increase on the LOW and HIGH settings. I recommend the heater and would purchase it again.

Fabulous heater

My mother bought me this heater back in 1995. It finally just died today and I am already ordering a new one. I love this thing. I keep it under my desk at all times. In the winter I use a blanket over my legs to keep my whole body warm while I am working at my desk. In the summer, I use the cool air function to keep me cool. It also sits at just the right level as a foot rest. I'm just sad that I have to wait for the shipping time to get my new one!!
