The New Maytag PuriClean Water Filter (UKF7003AXX) is Maytag's newest filter and is designed for use on all Maytag refrigerators with a built-in filter, both with and without filter-change indicator lights. It replaces Maytag part numbers UKF7002AXX, UKF7001AXX, UKF6001AXX, and UKF5001AXX. It improves the taste and odor of the water and removes the following impurities: Cysts, Particulates (Class I), Chlorine, Turbidity, and Lead. It Does Not Remove Flouride. Maytag recommends that you replace the filter after 1 year or when the water filter change reminder light comes on OR if the refrigerator has not been used for more than two weeks (for instance, during a move) OR if you notice a decrease in the flow of water or objectionable tastes in the water or ice.

Snug fit from the branded filter unlike some of the 3rd party replacement filters that aren't that much cheaper.

I PURCHASED THIS REPLACEMENT FILTER FOR MY MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. IT WAS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. SHIPPING WAS ON SCHEDULE. THE AMAZON PRICE WAS QUITE A BIT LESS THAN I FOUND ELSEWHERE. IF YOU NEED ONE OF THESE FILTERS, DON'T HESITATE TO PURCHASE IT HERE.
