The DC988 is designed with a three speed transmission and offers a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm, 38 percent faster than high speed, and 34,000 bpm to allow for high performance drilling in masonry applications. This ergonomically styled hammerdrill features a unique 1/2 inch ratcheting chuck with carbide jaws prevents bits from slipping. It is also designed to store standard nut drivers, screwdriver, and bit tip holders.
