These are thin "rags"
»
I got these on Gold Box special for $10.00 and they don't even appear worth that. Actually, if I shopped specials in regular stores I know I can get something that looks better for my ten bucks. I am really disappointed in these very, very, thin, "rags". When I unwrapped them they were horribly wrinkled, too, and started piling just by putting them down on my bed. Apparently they pick up lint like crazy. I was going to give them as gifts, but I'll use them for my dogs instead. I thought Columbia sports company was going to mean this was top notch. Since the label says "made in China" I guess we can blame the Chinese.

Plush and Super soft~HIgh Quality~Changes my room ++++
»
I got this a s a Good box deal, what a deal! It is very high quality and I agree with the other positive reviews quite yummy.
I have a great couch from Ethan Allen but I'm just sick of the color. I found that just putting a throw over the seat and hanging down the front changes the whole look of the room, rearrange some pillows I already have and for $9.99 it's a new couch. The Dog is always sleeping there so I don't want expensive throws there. This is perfect.
These are NOT the ones you get for $10 at a "mart" store. These are high end.
I depend on people who give good reviews to make my choices and the first person here is so correct, they are great. I think I'll get another for a gift they are that nice.

Getting another... I want my Columbia fleece throw back!
»
Just ordered another of these Columbia Coral Fleece Throws, and this time in the Willow color. This one is as a present for my son, who is always stealing my sand-colored one that I've had for about a year now. The small label on my original throw says "Columbia" and it's a 100% polyester, machine washable product, so I can only assume that this is similar or the same thing. The size seems to be about 50 by 60 inches as well, and that's the perfect size for a throw like this.
These seem to wear quite well, and for a supplementary household blanket they are great. Have had taken mine in the car and used it as a utility blanket during cold weather when my son wanted to sleep during trips, so I can vouch for the versatility and durability of these products. We have others, but the softness of these seems to be exceptional.
Might offer a tip to any purchasers of these throws, and that's wash them using a gentle cycle and with cold water wash only, then to dry them separately using the lowest tumble dry cycle . Because they are 100% polyester, they don't seem to stain, and they're very low maintenance. We have some light pilling (those little "nubs" one gets when something is washed too often), but that could also be due to the fact that the first time my sand-colored throw was washed, it was in warm water and it was thrown in the dryer in a regular cycle with some everyday clothing. So just remember, cold water wash and lowest tumble dry cycle and you should have it last for quite a long time.
Pros:
* They are warm, as a good throw should be.
* Excellent price on a quality item from Columbia Sportswear.
* Very low maintenance.
* Nice color selections.
Cons:
* Could get "pilling" if not washed correctly.
Must say that I've had a number of clothing items made by Columbia Sportswear over the years, and have never had a complaint other that a bad zipper on a windbreaker that I bought years ago... and the company made good on it and sent me a new one. It's still in service, and yes, the liner has pilling, but so to the fleece liner on my winter coats from L.L. Bean, so I can't complain.
If you're looking for something just a bit larger, there's the Columbia Signature Fleece Throw, Beach, which measures 50 by 70 inches, so you do have some choices here.
I'm happy a repeat buyer on this product, and the online pricing becomes even better if one has Amazon Prime - very hard to beat. And now maybe I'll be able to reclaim my own sand-colored Columbia fleece throw back!

Five -Star in Irag

Last year I purchased this blanket for myself. It is an awesome blanket. Very warm. Doesn't pill. Doesn't melt in the dryer. At the same time I was assembling Christmas packages for a unit in Iraq that my husband and I had adopted. We found out at the last minute that their PX had run out of blankets. These soldiers were freezing and needed blankets ASAP. We thought of our blanket and sent an email to find out if they could accept synthetic blankets. It turns out that they could and they were thrilled that they could be washed and dried with no problem. We purchased a load of these blankets. They happen to fit perfectly in the USPS flat rate box. So for under twenty dollars including postage, we were able to send a large blanket to each member of the unit and a separate box filled with Christmas goodies to each of them. I have had occasional problems with broken items or mis-delivered boxes with Amazon, but considering that I've been shopping with them since the beginning and its only happened three times that's not too bad. I want to thank them and the reviewers of this blanket because otherwise I wouldn't have happened upon it. To the reviewer who is having a bad day - hope you feel better brother. For anyone else interested, amazon is the go-to site for sending packages through anysoldier.com. Thanks again reviewers! God bless you.

This is the best Amazon can come up with for a huge Gold Box Day Sale? A mere 3 days before Black Friday? I brought these blankets last year and they will last only for a year before u see holes and runs in them. They are a good value only at half price off. I will even buy a few more, however, amazon is going the way of yahoo and wallstreet if this is the best they can come up with for a 24 hour Gold Box day sale so close to Black Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
