I have a light-colored smooth top range and have tried a number of other products and it was hard work keeping the range clean. Once clean, apply a VERY thin coat of the protectant and it's almost like wax for the car. Stuff still burns-on, but comes off so much easier you'll be surprised. It lasts a long time and is well worth the money. Whirlpool also has a complete kit--Cleaner, non-scratch scrub pads, protectant and special applicator pad. I use more protectant than cleaner.
