It works great,and a must have if you have large dogs.I owned another Bissell carpet cleaner before this that did not do a great job, and broke only after seven uses.It was out of warrenty and too expensive to fix,so I bought this item.

Happy with Results

I got this to replace another brand that broke. It would have cost more to repair it than to get another. Plus, the repair shop said that the container on the Hoover had a design flaw and had been replaced.
I was happy with the results that I got with this machine. If you select Heavy on the selector, it will use more of the cleaner solution, so unless it is really dirty, use either normal or light. You do have to fill and empty the container often, but it is no different with the Hoover. I have 3 dogs. One is a puppy and there have been accidents.
I do recommend that after each use, you rinse the solution though and allow all of the parts to dry thoroughly before storing. And do not store it in a cold area, like the garage, because it can crack the tubing and any excess fluid in it could freeze.

I received my Bissell floor cleaner very quickly and used it immediately. I was very disappointed to find that I would have to buy an additional part in order to use this to steam my tile floors. I was under the impression that it was included. I used it on the rugs and found that the brushes and suction are just not strong enough for what I need. It was in fact very similar to the steamer I was replacing because I was unhappy with its performance. I will say that I was somewhat happier with the upholstery cleaning job that it did, although it got the couch very wet and I had to go over and over the surface to get it clean. All in all, its like the others I have tried, and they just don't measure up to the professional cleaning that I guess I need to pay for each time.

A Lifesaver

I did a lot of research before purchasing this item, and I'm very pleased with it. It is easy to use and did a good job getting out some pet stains that my spot cleaning couldn't get rid of. I've already used it 3 or 4 times because I have major dog/child traffic. Using it and even cleaning it up afterwards isn't much more work than using a vacuum.
