Playskool Helmet Heroes - not well designed
»
I do not like the fact that the handlebars (or steering wheel on the racecar) won't work without being directly in front of the helmet. The kid has to (1) turn on a switch in the back of the helmet, then (2) push a button on top of the helmet to start the fun sequence, and then (3) use the handlebars. I think it's too complicated, and it's too much to expect a kid to always keep the helmet and the handlebars together. Further, the microphone doesn't work unless the handlebars are aligned/engaged.

So Much Fun!!
»
Bought this for my 5-year-old son for Christmas. He LOVES it!! Great toy to peak their imagination. So much better than a hand-held game. This gets them up and moving! Had to change the batteries when it arrived, but the instructions did suggest to do just that. Very great toy, would highly recommend!!!

my grandson's favorite Christmas toy.
»
I bought this toy as a gift for my 5 year old grandson. He absolutely loved it. The lights and sounds made him feel like a real police officer. It took a few moments to figure out how to make the handle bar and microphone work, but after I showed my grandson what to do, he mastered the controls quickly.

Fun Toy ... After we figured out how it worked
»
We bought both this toy and the race car helmet for our nephews, 3 and 6. The Police Helmet didn't work right out of the box. There were no instructions in the box or on the helmet. We were at a retail store today and saw that instructions were on the helmet face, but ours didn't have any instructions.
We changed the batteries twice trying to make it work. We finally got it working after seeing the "sync" a video on the Toys R Us website.
It would be nice if there were some instructions on this site that shows how have to Sync it up when you turn it on.
The 3 year old is really enjoying it, but it seems like a helmet strap is missing or installed wrong because its barely long enough to fit around his chin, and the 6 year old can't strap it at all.

Fun toy.
»
The directions do not tell you to push the button on the helmet while wearing it to activate the hand controller. Other than that, it is a fun toy and all the kids at the birthday party, especially the 4-yr old boy, liked it. My son is 6 and it fit fine, except we were unable to use the tiny chin strap.
