The K&H Thermo-Kitty Bed (Sage) has a dual thermostat 4 watt heating unit buried deep within its thick, super soft, orthopedic foam base. It warms the surface 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature to a cat pleasing 102 degrees when in use. The cover is washable. Indoor use only.

picky cat

My cat spent a night in it, then no interest for the next few weeks, so I gave it to my Mom for Christmas, and her cat is living in it.
Thank you.

Great bed for our small cat! She loves it so much that she stays on it almost 24-7!

My cats *love* this kitty bed. I often find two of them squished into it which is no easy task since each cat weighs about 12 pounds. They also have a K&H thermo kitty cabin but they prefer this bed; it is in constant use. The heat is at a low temperature safe for cats. Although the cover is easily removable for washing, I sometimes place a light baby blanket in it so cleaning is even simpler.

Camille (our cat) has never been so happy. She's curled up in the Thermo Kitty bed and we are saving on heating cost (with no guilt)!

Flimsy lining, not same quality as previous bed by same maker
»
I bought a heated K&H cat bed last year and was thrilled with the quality. Very heavy fake nubuck outer cover, and thich heavy berber fleece interior. My outdoor cat used it in my unheated garage in Michigan during the winter, and loved it. Because it was filthy and covered in hard to remove cat hair, I decided to buy a new one this year. Big mistake -- this new cat bed is not the same quality at all. The cover is much lighter weight, and the interior lining is a flimsy velour that shifts all around when you touch it. Luckily I kept the old bed, and decided to clean it after all. It washed beautifully, and I am using it again this year. Spend the extra $20.00 and get the heavy duty model
