Eureka Sweeper

I've had this sweeper for several months now and love it. I'm glad I spent the extra money to purchase a higher-end rechargeable vac. It works great on my hardwoods, ceramic, and carpet (obviously not as good as a full-size vacuum but good for a sweeper). It's a little heavier than a lot of cordless sweepers, but worth it for the extra power and suction. The swivel neck is great and the tools for the hand-held sweeper are helpful.

Eureka 2-in-1 Sweeper

I love my Eureka Sweeper! I had been looking for a vacumm that would be good for quick cleanups that wouldn't requiring any effort in dragging out a full sized vacumm and I found it. The Eureka Sweeper is solidily made and is powerful for such a compact device. I tested the sweeper in a store before making my purchase on Amazon so that I could get a feel for it and I am so glad I did. I could have bought a less expensive sweeper but, sure enough, just handling the less expensive model told me that I needed to go with the Eureka. I love how easy and light the sweeper is and that I can use just the hand vac if I want. I couldn't have made a better choice.

good product but...

I bought this one for two purposes: indoor floor and car cleaning. It works well so far. The first one I bought has problem with the dust chamber issue, which can not be locked, I changed another one, and it is good so far.

Love this Sweeper!!

I'm a mom of four and seem to be constantly cleaning up some mess. Thank goodness for this handy sweeper. Now about 60%-70% of my home is wood or tile floors. I didn't purchase this to do carpet. I pull out the big bulky vacuum for that.
What I love most about this sweeper is that it is cordless. Another stick vac that I had for many years, was a plug-in, which of course meant hopefully having a outlet nearby. Honestly, some parts of the floor hadn't had a good sweep in several months because the cord didn't reach. I love that this one is cordless. It goes anywhere. I can go up and down bare basement steps without worrying if the cord will reach. The base that it charges in is discrete and holds two other attachments for the hand vac part. (Which is also the motor for the unit as a whole).
It is so easy to maneuver. The 180 degree swivel head goes under dining chairs with ease.
As for stuff that is a little large (i.e. chocolate chips, cereal) to pick-up with the sweeper as a whole unit , I simply pop the hand vac out and suck it up.
The dust cup is a breeze to empty. I do it in my home's trash can instead of going outside to our large garbage can like I did with the other one. It's nice not to have to time my emptying according to the weather outside.
Even the kids like to use this sweeper!

Almost perfect quicker picker-upper

Based on two weeks of use, I can say that my search for a truly useful cordless quickie vacuum is over! Our house has mostly bare floors and they get dusty quickly. The full-sized vacuum is too cumbersome; sweeping is tedious, and, unless you go very slowly, it raises a lot of the dust into the air. (Try sweeping in a strong beam of sunlight some time!) It looks so handsome that it does not have to be kept out of sight, has plenty of suction, a roller brush, and...the vacuum unit pops out to become a hand vac with crevice/brush attachments. It works well on short-napped carpeting, too. It has three power levels based upon combinations of two switches. For a hand vac, it also has a VERY nice filter system: A coarse outer filter surrounds a cloth-like fine filter, so very little dust gets back into the air. The filter also has internal vanes that generate a cyclonic airflow and prevent the outer filter from becoming completely encircled with debris...thus maintaining suction more effectively. Another nifty innovation allows you to clean the inner filter by pulling a spring-loaded tab that snaps the fabric to release debris. (Do this outside, though!) Battery life is excellent...easily 20 minutes on full power. The swivel head makes it highly maneuverable and it easily fits under countertops, tables, and between chairs, etc. The ONLY feature I would have liked in this type of device is the ability to go completely under couches and beds, etc. This will only go a few inches under most. Other devices (such as Shark Folding Handle Sweeper - Lavender) do this but they have other problems or limitations. The Ergorapido is otherwise just plain SWEET!
