This produt is exactly as it was advertised to be. It arrived in a timely fashion and I am enjoying using it. I might consider using a smaller watt bulb for a gentler low light.

Very satisfied! Yes, you do have to be a bit careful about the threads during assembly. But that is probably true of any similar light system, including some that cost four times more and work not as well. The brightness, the dimmer, and the clean, unpretentious aesthetics of the light, all exceeded my expectations.

« A very good value »

I ordered two to start with and after assembling them, I ordered another set for my parents. The assembly is reasonably easy, but be careful not to force things. Of course the light is a cooler color than a 300W halogen light that we have, but it works very well and saves a lot of energy. The dimmer range is quite reasonable as well, but you can't dim it as far you I could with the halogen lamp. I would certainly recommend this lamp to others.

« Really regret this purchase »

This looked like a nice lamp and I need more lighting in my apartment since there are no overhead lighting fixtures, but when this arrived and I put it together, it didn't work. It seemed like it would be an awful lot of trouble to try and take it apart again, repack it, and send it back, so I thought maybe the bulb broke in shipping and I'd just replace that. Well, no hardware store anywhere near me has this type of bulb, so I ended up ordering a replacement on amazon. I was worried that the new bulb would break in shipping, but I have no idea if it did or not. The replacement bulb doesn't fit in the the bulb socket so I'm really wondering why I have this useless "lamp" taking up space in my apartment and I feel pretty stupid now to have spent even more money on a new bulb. I would definitely not recommend this lamp to anyone.
