Excellent Product..
»
I bought this heater to replace one that used up to much electricity. I love the fact that the auto thermostat keeps it comfortable in my living room. The auto timer is also convenient when you don't always remember to shut it off before leaving the house...I would definitely recommend this as an inexpensive but great heating source.

I got allergy from it
»
I got this last year ceramic tower from lasko.
My room was cold and I turned it quite long time usually for sleeping.
It made the room warmer easily. But then I got allergy after the winter. I usually didn't have pollen or dust allergy. But for some reason, I had terrible running nose and sneeze a lot!!
But then over the summer, I was better. and now this winter I turned the heater again, and it made me running nose and sneeze AGAIN! I got the cold medicine or allergy one.. doesn't work very well...
I suspected it might be from the heater. I take a good look at the heater. And I saw some of dust got stuck in the vent and I think it is got burned by heat and some of dust ash gets fly all over my place and stuck my nose..
I changed to convection hallogen light style heater. Now I don't sneeze at all and my nose feel much much better.
I guess if you use this heater for short term usage, it might be all right. But if you need to turn the heater on quite long time. It might affect your allergy or irritate your nose or throut.
You don't really know until you use this quite long enough.
I wonder if there are some people had similar experience..

Great little heater saves money
»
I lived in an old trinity where we have a heater in each room so we can regulate it. Our usual winter bill is about $200 though it was a bit higher the year before cuz my roommate from texas just kept cranking everything up and i usually had my heater in my bedroom upstairs off since most of the heat from the 2nd floor just came put to my room. Anyway, i got this heater and had another roommate living on the 2nd floor who turns the heat on even when he's away for a month. So i kept using this heater, i didn't turn on the heater upstairs and all i relied on was this.
I have to say it does a wonderful job. i like the remote control aspect of it cuz once you memorize where everything is at, you don't need to open your eyes at nite to crank it up, just push the button. I like the thermostat in it, it's just wonderful. This heater really heats soo well. i haven't had any issue with the cord. i used all winter last year and instead of our usual $200 for two people, the highest bill was $125 and that includes my roommate using his part of the heat normally so it sure did save us money. this year, i've been using it in my room and it still works fine.
It's definately a great investment. Peco charges so a good amount for using electric heat so getting this heater made me a lot less to Peco. It's good a for big enough bedroom with 2 closets, my room was the only thing on the third floor so it was big. i didn't want to shelve this much money for a heater, i wanted the $20 ones at cvs but i'm glad i did and i don't regret one single bit. For someone who's never used gas heat and always uses electric, i do see a difference on my bill. i got this heater out in october and i'll be using it to keep warm all winter.

Perfect Bedroom Heater
»
If it's not bitterly cold I leave it off at night because I sleep better if the room is cool but I keep the remote control by my bed so that in the morning I can turn the heater on and get the room toasty before I leave those warm covers. Once up I usually set the temperature of the heater to 70 then when I return after a while for my shower and to get ready for the day I can do so in a warm bedroom/bathroom. When we have truly cold nights I set the heater at its lowest temperature of 60, or maybe 65 degrees so that it can click on and off and keep the room comfortable all night. And by the way, the temperature setting is accurate - I have the ExactSet Projection Clock BLUE by my bed and have checked it several times to see if the room temperature matches the heater setting and it always does! Amazing! The heater is not silent but not noisy either. The remote is of a very handy shape and super easy to figure out with explanatory graphics on each button. It can control any and all functions of the heater and in fact it's better in the way that when changing temperature settings the remote lets you go up or down whereas using the temp button on the heater you can only go up so you have to press through an entire cycle if you're wanting to lower the temperature. You get an easy to hear beep whenever you use the remote so you know if the heater received its orders. I don't use the oscillate feature, it doesn't seem to me that having it turn would help in any way. I appreciate the indention on the back at the top so when you want to relocate the heater your fingers have a better hold on it and being tallish you don't even have to bend down, just grasp it at the top and go. My cord does not heat up, it gets just a little warm even after running non-stop for over an hour. I'm very happy with this heater.
