With all the expensive espresso makers sold around the world, native Italians prefer espresso from stovetop espresso makers and more Italians use Bialetti for their stovetop Italian coffee. For an excellent cup of Italian coffee, the classic eight-side household coffeepot is considered a true Italian tradition. The Moka Espress boasts a lot of records and, as such, is the most copied coffee maker! With sturdy aluminum construction, the Moka Express is a product that actually improves with constant use. The unit is extremely simple to use. Just fill the lower chamber with water and the filter with ground espresso coffee. Place the pot on the stove and heat until the water boils. As it does, the liquid espresso moves to the upper chamber of the pot, ready to be poured into an awaiting espresso cup. After that, all you need to do is enjoy the delicious nectar of coffee.

Just as the smaller version this stovetop maker produces delectable espresso in the morning. I make mine with frothed milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, whipped cream and more cinnamon. Yummy!

Great Coffee Maker

Extremely pleased with this coffee maker, I use it for a making single high quality cups of coffee. Well constructed, although the instructions are little light on user information. Be careful not to over fill the bottom which contains the water. The aluminum construction makes for a very, very hot unit, so be safety minded and use with care.

No More $4 Lattes!

I love, love, LOVE my Bialetti Espresso Maker. Easy to use and works like a charm. Goes to show simple really is best, as opposed to the several hundred dollar hi-fi espresso makers sold at the department store. I've been making lattes and cafe au laits on a regular basis, and I couldn't be happier. I've used it for guests, and they like the lattes made at home more than the ones at the coffee stores. This is a GREAT product, works beautifully, and once you get the measurements down, you won't go anywhere else. If there is one complaint I have, it's that scrubbing the inside of the bottom half is difficult due to the small opening. Anyone have a solution for this?

Good Espresso-No Hassle

I've been using this style maker since 1968, when I was introduced to it by my friend's wife, who grew up in Little Italy (NY). It makes very good espresso (want to improve the taste - improve the coffee you use), I think better but at least as good as the machines costing up to 5X as much. It is also simple to use, fast, and easy to clean. This size (9-cup) fills a mug, which I like, or two regular cups for when I'm sharing. Over the years I've tried other stove top brands and styles, but stick with this traditional Bialetti...they've been making them forever and have it down. By the way, the little guy on the pot isn't flipping us the bird!
