Are you tired of all that chopping with your old kitchen knife? The Vidalia Chop Wizard is a better way to chop vegetables, fruit, cheese, and more - safely and easily - and chop your kitchen prep time in half. Includes a 2 cup catch container, large chopping blade, small chopping blade for fine dicing and a lid cleaning tool. Chop foods with one swift motion, saving precious time without making a mess. Catch container doubles as a measuring cup. Fingers stay away from blades, meaning more safety and less germs. Dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

It works! It really works!

I was skeptical, having been burned in the past by kitchen gadgets that promised to make short work of tasks like chopping and dicing. But after reading the reviews here I decided I'd give this a try. I'm so glad that I did, too!
This thing WORKS. Within moments of its arrival I'd chopped 3 red onions. (I like to stash ready-to-cook ingredients in the fridge to make meal prep faster throughout the week.) Yes, with one particularly large onion I had to quarter it but so what? That takes 2 seconds, and chopping the entire thing took maybe 10 more seconds, for a total of 12 seconds to get 2 cups of chopped onion. Doing that by hand would have easily taken a couple of minutes, so I definitely saved time.
I've since used it on apples, firm-fleshed melon, carrots (slice lengthwise first), potatoes (slice into quarters) and cucumbers (seeded). The Vidalia Chop Wizard made short work of all of them.
The one thing I had problems with was a very ripe tomato. But, hey, even my good chef knife has problems with those now and then.
Best money I've spent on a kitchen gadget. I wholeheartedly recommend this!

I love the chop wizard and have bought for my friends and family

One out of the nine vidalia choppers I purchased for gifts had a flaw. One of the two pegs that allows the lid to hinge up and down broke off so I bought my daughter another one because she absolutely loves it. It saves so much tme in the kitchen standing there and doing all that cutting up by hand. If you eat a lot of raw vegetables and salads you can't beat having this in your kitchen. I PROMISE! You will use it ALL THE TIME!

Not too impressed

Used a couple of times. Needs excess pressure to chop anything but eggs. Get yourself a good sharp 8" chefs knife, much faster after you spend the time to clean this contraption.

All hype, no help

The Vidalia Chop Wizard looks good in the ad but fails in the kitchen. It probably is good for the muscular, brutish chefs who can slam the lever down dicing the food. However, the average person will find that a sledge hammer is the key to success. It simply takes too much force to operate the slicer. I gave this "Wizard" to my sister who has now gained new respect for her knife.
