A proven necessity for hurricane preparedness, the Garrity Power Lite lets you crank up the power with a few turns of the handle. This go-anywhere, anytime light is always ready, no matter how long it's been between uses. Just press on the power button, crank the handle, and light up the power. The Power Lite includes three super-bright LED bulbs that provide up to one hour of bright light for every minute of cranking. In addition, the light's rechargeable NiMH battery never needs to be replaced. Other features include a magnifying lens that casts a bright beam, a rubberized grip, and a compact housing. The lightweight, compact LED flashlight is also terrific for weekends at the cabin, traveling, stashing in the glove box, and standard power outages. The Power Lite carries a lifetime warranty (applies to the fixture only, not bulbs or batteries).

Great Flashlight!
»
This crank flashlight is bright in dark areas and conforms well in my hand. Great in emergencies. It fits in the glove compartment of the car and large enough not to get lost. My only complaint was the packaging it came in. It was difficult to open and sharp and dangerous after being cut open with scissors.

works great at first, then won't work later unless constantly cranked

We bought several of these (in a couple different brands) and have found that after a year they all have the same problem; they will no longer hold a charge. At first they were great- used them for camping and thought they were wonderful. Then we put them away and didn't need them for several months. When we recently had a power outage, we found that the flashlight wouldn't stay lit unless it was constantly cranked! This is way more work than we hoped. We'll go back to the battery kind so we have something that works for that occasional emergency.

pays for itself in batteries

This is a great, bright little flashlight that cuts out the waste and cost of disposable batteries. I was afraid that the light would be weak but this is not a problem. Convenient size, too. Highly recommend.
