Easy to use, sharpens knives quickly.

My knives were getting so dull they were dangerous, so I knew I needed a sharpener. I wanted something quick and easy, that didn't take any skill, but just sharpened knives.
I know if I took the time to learn how to properly sharpen my knives, I'd get better results than I can with the Diamond Fingers, but not by much. The Diamond Fingers suit my needs perfectly. Plus it folds up and stores in a drawer easily.

near professional level edges on my knives

It took a little work to get our really dull knives back into shape, but now they are as sharp as new. We use high quality knives like Shun and this tool works great. We have several expensive sharpening tools that will probably never be used again.
Once you get the knife sharp, just swipe it on the sharpener 2-3 times before every use, wipe the blade with a towel, and Bobby Flay would be impressed with your cutlery.

This product was recommended to me by a chef at a B and B in southern MN. I have used it for a few years and my son asked about it when here cooking with me this summer. I purchased one for him and one for my son-in-law who is another avid home chef! We all find it very effective and easy to use. So, we now keep our kitchen knives sharp at all times and it's an even greater delight to cook now. My son is also an avid sportsman and it keeps his hunting and filet knives in tip top shape as well. This sharpener is safe and small enough to take on trips. We all love it.
