Made of durable hard-anodized aluminum of uniform thickness, the pan is an excellent heat conductor and cooks food quickly and evenly. Its double-coated nonstick interior prevents food from sticking and makes cleanup easier. The pan has oval stainless-steel handles with a blasted satin finish that are comfortable to grip and are held in place by sturdy stainless-steel rivets. Also made of brushed stainless steel, the lid is domed to keep moisture in during cooking. This cookware is oven-safe up to 375 degrees F so you don't have to dirty several pans to make one dish. All cookware in this line is 100-percent dishwasher-safe and is covered by a 10-year warranty.

Calphalon Traditional Simply Nonstick 5 Quart Saute Pan with Lid
»
I love this pan. I had asked for and received the 10 piece set for Christmas 2007 and have loved it every time I have used it (every day). I needed a larger frying pan and saw this and had to have it. It is perfect for cooking the larger portions for a full family meal. It cooks evenly thoughout the entire pan, I don't have to reposition my food to get all parts of it cooked. I have been very particular about not putting it in the dishwasher or using sharp objects in it. You can use regular cooking utensils in it, but just don't use anything sharp. It's worth the little extra effort to make it last.

The right tools make a difference
»
For 25 years I cooked with the stainless steel cookware I received as a wedding gift, with a couple of supplemental nonstick skillets. My stuff looked nice and did the job...or so I thought. I wanted to get a skillet that was deeper than the skillets I already had. After reading customer reviews and comparing prices, I decided on this pan. The first time I used it, my food cooked so evenly and browned so nicely I was amazed that a pan could make such a difference. At first, I kept using my nonstick skillets for eggs and cheese dishes, but I decided to try the new skillet for a cheese omelet, and it worked just as well as nonstick! Clean up is incredibly easy. Even if something does stick in the bottom during cooking, soapy water and a washcloth usually takes care of everything. I use this pan every chance I get. In fact, I'm gradually replacing my stainless cookware with the Caphalon. I now have the grill pan and 2- quart saucepan.

excellent pan

Great non-stick pan for browning meat, vegtables etc,. Better than a frying pan since the bottom is flat. The sides keep everything in & allow you to cook a "meal in one pan".

Love them or leave them

I love my Calphalon [well, really LIKE it - you can only love people and God]! I have purchased several pieces and only had one 'klunker' which they gladly and quickly replaced [it was a 10 inch omelette teflon coated type pan]. My sister,Mary, who cooks well says 'you either love them or hate them'. Well I enjoy all of my hard anodized cookware and bakeware. Calphalon makes cooking and baking fun!
