Need a little incentive to vacuum your place? This lemon yellow upright vacuum brightens up an occasionally daunting cleaning task and is priced for housecleaners who would prefer to spend their money on other things. In spite of its reasonable price, this vacuum has a powerful 12-amp motor that is on par with some of the more expensive Hoover models. The wide 15-inch cleaning path sucks up a large quantity of debris, saving energy in multiple passes over the same area, and a front headlight illuminates darker areas, such as the backs of closets or under couches. Allergy sufferers are taken care of as a built-in filtration system removes 100 percent of dust mites and 99.98 percent of ragweed and grass pollens. Rather than using replaceable bags that can be messy to dispose of, the vacuum contains dirt in a covered plastic cup that is a cinch to empty. On-board tools for this vacuum include two extension wands for overhead cleaning, a crevice tool, a furniture nozzle, and a dusting brush. This vacuum cleaner comes fully assembled and is covered by a full one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Avoid this Hoover vac!
»
Worked great for a few months. Kept deteriorating over the next few. Nearly lost all suction just before/past the first year.
This is notwithstanding strenuous cleaning!
Also, an earmuff is necessary to avoid ear damage -- this nearly sounds like a helicopter standing next to you!
Positives: you will be in denial that this has stopped working for several weeks and will vacuum back and forth harder, and possibly a bit more often. All these will help you burn those harmful calories that will otherwise clog your arteries, provided the dust that seems to leak out of this vacuum doesn't cause some respiratory illness that gets you earlier.
Net: AVOID. Hoover, Shame on you!

Compact and Efficient
»
I love bagless - never remember to buy those darn things. This vac is easy to push, and has great accessories that store right on board. A great machine for an apartment or to keep on the second floor. I was so pleased with mine that I purchased one for my mother.

Great Vaccum at a Great Price
»
I bought one of these vaccum's from Sear's online and loved it. I took it to a Hoover dealer to work on it because of the thermal protector broke and burnt the motor up. This was fully covered under the warrenty and was fixed. (Sort Of) The dealer put a wrong size part on it and it ran out of warrenty before it was used again and the problem was found.(This is obviously on the dealer not the vaccum) So, I tried to order one from Sear's and they no longer sell them and I bought another one which is compatible with the one we have. It was very reasonable for the going price and as long as you change the filter's it works great. In fact a realtive went and bought one too because it is a great little vaccum.

This Hoover really sucks......NOT!
»
You know that old adage? "You get what you pay for"? In this case you dont even get that! Brand name and spiffy look attracted me along with the low price.WOO-WEE! I found a bargin , can't wait to get home and try 'er out. Worked great first couple times then simply lost power, NO SUCTION! I cleaned both filters after using unit second time, they clog easily with normal usage. The paper filter has a rubber gasket edge , once you remove it for the first time and clean it , it's hard to get it to seat properly in the bagless housing unit. The allergen filter dosen't seem to do anyhing as far as that musty vacuum smell. I was very disappointed with the machine considering the Hoover name. I learned a lesson on this purchase .The Hoover went to the yard sell. I then ignored the fish hooks in my pockets ,got the money out and purchased a Dyson (which I am very happy with). Don't buy the Hoover Tempo you'll be throwing away your money.

Want a high maintenance vac? Pick this one!
»
If you enjoy a product that requires high maintenance to run than you'll love vacuum! You will need to empty the canister EVERYTIME you vacuum. Oh, the filters clog easily, so you will need to clean those out EVERYTIME you empty the canister as well. If you choose to avoid this - it will result in very limited suction.
Up for a good challenge? Try putting the canister back in place - on the 1st or 2nd try.
My teenager and husband hate the vacuum. Silly them they prefer their cleaning tools to be efficient, quick and easy.
So they grab the broom instead.
