Weak and cheap, but is what it is
»
We bought two of these after Gustav hit this summer and we realized we'd be without power for weeks.
They run fairly efficiently, when you can get the switch to stay in position. They'd run for several days on 4-D batteries when set to the low position. They also ran quite nicely on rechargeable alkaline batteries.
They are too big to take camping, but we'll hang on to them for the next hurricane.
Overall, I was disappointed with the build quality. They won't put up with any abuse, and I feel certain I'll be replacing the switch at some point. The exposed blade is soft foam and doesn't hurt, but is probably still not safe around little kids or cats.

Little Fan Does the Job!
»
We purchased two of these fans for a boating trip, and I'm sure glad we had them! We were in a tiny cabin with only a small porthole, and the fans did the job pushing the air around and keeping us comfortable. We used them for three nights on four D batteries, and they never ran out of juice! Great product!

Hurricane Ike Survivor
»
I ordered this product when Hurricane Gustav threatened and I used this product after Hurricane Ike knocked out my electricity for several days. It put out such a good flow of air on low, I never needed high speed. It is light enough to carry around and will fit almost any where. I recommended it to many of my friends and they all are planning to get one. I wish I had it after Hurrican Rita when it was unbearably hot.

nice affordable camp fan
»
this fan is lightweight and worked great in my tent to keep me cool while desert camping. it's not super high-powered but it worked well and the batteries lasted the whole week (using it mostly in the morning and sometimes afternoon). the blades are soft because there's no cage, and it's easy to position the fan so it reaches you even on the floor.

Backpacking Newlyweds

Bride to be says these will make a wonderful addition to their camping experience. They are advid campers and had wanted these items, so I imagine they will make great use out of them and Coleman makes great products, that's all I used when I used to camp.
