I was disappointed in this pitcher. The color of the crystal is bad, for one thing. It has a greyish cast to it that makes it look dirty. I have some of the goblets and wine glasses that match this pattern and they're much nicer than the pitcher.

I purchased this pitcher as I already have the water & wine glasses as well as the old fashioned glasses. I have had the glasses over 25 years. Very durable and pretty. Can be used everyday. Would recommend to everyone.

Perfect Pitch

This elegant little pitcher stands nearly 10" high and is nicely weighted, holding just the right amount of liquid. It makes a perfect iced water pitcher, even placed near or on a formally arranged table, elegant enough to hold its own next to a silver tea or coffee service. You won't go wrong with this lovely little pitcher. I'm happy I bought it and may purchase the smaller version as well.

When we moved into our new house in 2006, we replaced our motley collection of wine glasses and brandy snifters with new sets from the Cristal D'Arques collection. They proved to be extremely durable and lovely to look at. Last week this pitcher was featured for $9.99 at the Friday sale and I snapped it up. I had the same concerns as another reviewer -- it didn't seem to be appropriately packaged given that it was crystal (no bubble wrap, just a box within a box) but it came through unscathed. I had the same experience when I ordered the wine glasses and brandy snifters -- the packing was not terrific, but they came through okay. The set is a good value for the money -- you won't be disappointed.
