The Pawleys Island Hammock Tree Straps are a must have when trying to hang your hammock from your trees. These straps allow you to hang your Hammock without harming your tree. The straps wrap around the trees and provide you with rings to attach your "Z" clip to in order to hang your hammock. You are provided two straps per pack and the straps measure 3Inches wide by 120 Inches long and are made of Heavy duty weather-resistant strapping.

Way overpriced for what you get. Head to Home depot and make your own for a fraction of the cost.

« solid, easy to use product »

I recently was given a Pawley's Island Hammock, and rather than stress a tree, and wanting an easier way to hang the hammock instead of driving in bolts, I purchased these straps.

The straps are sturdy and are easy to wrap around the tree, and they hold well.

I have given this a four star rather than a five star rating because I believe a carbiner rather than the S hooks which come with the product, would be a better attachment.

Otherwise, this product works as advertised.

« Does the job »

A good product for hanging a hammock or anything else between two trees. I didn't think the directions were very clear, and it took some trial and error to get the straps adjusted so that the D-ring faced the proper direction, but once installed, the straps held the weight. I also found this item useful for hanging a clothesline between two trees, and I imagine there would be other uses.

Pro:
This is truly a heavy duty strap. I have no worries about its strength. It could probably pull a car. The metal is solid too.

Cons:
It is long and is a pain in the but to wrap around a tree. depending on the size of the tree.
You cant adjust it or make changes to perfect its length and placement around a tree. You can get it to work but it will take some time and trial and error. On one thick tree i couldn't get it where i wanted. But this is life.

Overall it is a solid hardcore product.
The hammock ain't going no where.

« Great product BUT! »

This is only my second review, but I had to write as this product is great, BUT has a fatal flaw. Replace the S hooks immediately (before hammock use) with carabiners. If two people are in the hammock and one gets up to leave then the S hook can easily pop out of the ring and the hammock falls to the ground. That happened to me when my husband got up and I hit the ground hard. NO fun and easily fixed with closed carabiners. The product is great otherwise, but you really have to figure out how to set it up -- sort of a geometry problem, but doable.
