I bought mine used, but it's just like the ones used in schools. Probably was in a school at one time. Just hearing the sound of that blade working brings back memories of school that are almost worth the price of the cutter. You know you've got the real thing. Self-sharpening and spring-tensioned hinge, so old doesn't mean worn out. Some great grandkid of mine will probably end up with it. Cuts paper much better than those wheel-type type cutters.
