Make your own tasty jerky, dried fruit snacks and herbs with the Aroma Food Dehydrator. The appliance is designed to prevent overheating, which can kill vital nutrients in the food you’re drying. The reversible, rotating drying tray ensures that banana slices, turkey jerky, basil leaves and more dehydrate evenly in the machine. The unit includes 5 stackable trays, 1 roll-up sheet for making fruit leather, a drying screen and instructional cookbook. Imported. 8-1/2Hx13" dia.

Great family hobby
»
We only bought this dehydrator to desiccate plant samples for my 13-year-old's science project, but after the science fair was over, we discovered a wonderful way to make the family's snacks by drying fruit, vegetables and beef (as jerky). It is quiet and efficient. The stack trays hold enough food to make it worth your while to run the machine. It sets up easily, and the stack trays are dishwasher safe. I was pleasantly surprised by just how much you can do with this product.

Just as essential as our Foodsaver...
»
I have used this dehydrator for many different foodstuffs: from apples, pears, bananas to herbs to morel mushrooms and many things in between. Dries them quickly without molding. I like that I could purchase more trays to build a larger tower. The one drawback is that the trays are made of brittle plastic and can chip/break quite easily.

Fantastic Gift
»
This was a gift for my daughter who lives in another state. She and her friends have been having a great time making jerky, dried fruits and veggies for their camping trips.

Works great, but trays are fragile
»
I received one of these as a gift last year. I have made lots of beef jerky on it, with great success. However, the bottom tray got dropped and it shattered. I have contacted the company and apparently there's a shortage of bottom trays. I'm now on a waiting list for a new lower tray. I'll return here and report when this is concluded.
