This is ideal play pen mat/cover is for use inside or outside of the home. Use inside underneath the play pen to protect carpeting and outside to eliminate digging. It also works great as a cover to protect pet's from sunlight exposure and birds of prey. Reduces the risk of escape for some small animals. Velcro straps attach to Play Pen for added security. Sized to fit Marshall's Small Animal Play Pen. Playpen not included.

OK FOR A WHILE...

I HAVE BOUGHT 2 OF THESE AND THEY ARE APPARANTLY VERY TASTY! MY BUNNY HAS TORE UP BOTH OF THEM. NOT VERY DURABLE, OR RELIABLE FOR POTTY BREAKS OUT OF THE LITTER BOX. IF YOU CAN FIND SOMETHING MORE DURABLE, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT, NOT THIS.

Good product, misleading picture
»
I thought I was buying the whole pen when I bought it because the picture was mis-leading to me, so when just the bottom arrived I was a little peeved. I just wanted everyone to know you're not purchasing the cage too, just the blue bottom. Other than that I like the idea and am anxious to use it on the cage I purchased.

Small Animal Playpen Mat
»
The mat was a disappointment. I thought that it would be easy to place around the pen. It's not, and quite cumbersome. Also, the mat does NOT repel moisture. If my animal had an accident, it would leak through. I have found that a heavy tarp does a better job, at a much cheaper price.

Kitty Cage cover or bottom mat
»
This is a neat product and can be used on top or as floor for the kitty cages made of wire segments. I just wouldn't recommend it for cats. They are prone to jump until they get out because it just sits on top of the cage with about a three inch drop on sides...maybe even smaller. My cat is all of 9 lbs and was out of the entire cage first time we used it.

Good, but be careful
»
The mat doesn't fit as neatly around the playpen as the ad shows, but the velcro holds it in place well enough. I found out the hard way that this mat isn't leakproof; even though I cleaned up my ferret's accidents as they occurred, I found urine burns on my wood floor when I moved the mat. So now I use newspaper or cage diapers with it. When the mat gets really nasty, I take it into the yard, hose it off, and let it dry. Some of the stains will still be there, but they won't smell.
