amazing quality...I love this set

I love this set...it is not only beautiful but very high quality! I ordered two sets since I needed 8 pasta dishes...I use one of the large bowls to serve the pasta and the other large bowl for a green salad. Works out perfectly for my family and me.

Caleca Italian dinnerware

I love Caleca dinnerware. I have had my large set for years, from when I lived in Italy and Spain. Over the years I wanted additional pieces in the U.S. It's hard to find at a good price. Amazon seems to have the best prices. I love all my Caleca, I never want anything else.

My First Caleca - What a Beautiful Set!

I already have a pasta/salad set with a very pretty design, but the quality difference with this one was immediately evident. The other one has a gritty, uneven surface, and the stoneware is not as chip-resistant as this one. Aside from being very durable, the surface on the Caleca is just beautiful. It is heavier, however. I'm very happy with this purchase.

The best pasta bowl set around bar none!

I can only give this Italian stoneware/ceramic the highest praise ... Not only is it beautiful - it's sturdy, chipresistant(!), microwave resistant, and dishwasher safe. It's not at all like any Italian stoneware i've bought in the past which easily chipped, and got hot and "crackled"/crazed in the microwave, dishwasher etc... The serving bowl is nice and deep which helps keep the pasta warm compared to other pasta bowls i've had. I originally bought the dinnerware set and liked it so much i then bought the pasta bowl set, a 2nd service for 4 of the dinnerware and also a set of the dinnerware for friends for Xmas. I highly recommend it! My friends loved it too and decided to buy a set of the Caleca Bluemoon to mix and match with it. They are sold on it! I had never seen Caleca-ware before in real life and initally decided to purchase it because of the other excellent review it had received (below) and the write up about the product describing its high quality, durability and craftmanship. I am so glad i took the chance! Caleca does indeed make a very high quality product. What can i say...it's a beautiful, durable, "artiginale" italian product ...Viva Italia! Ciao!...
