So far, so good.
»
Our new pot rack has been mounted and holding pots and pans for a few weeks now. It's looking good, and it has survived the Thanksgiving cooking rush. Since the space between brackets does not match the widch between wall studs, I had to mount some 1/4 inch pieces of wood on the wall first, and then I mounted the rack to that using the lag bolts that came with it. I painted the wood to match the wall color and it can hardly be noticed.

Not sized to attach to wall studs
»
I hadn't realized that the screw holes on this are distanced 24 inches apart. Most wall studs are 16 inches apart, making it impossible to attach this rack to wall studs, as required.
Maybe there is some way around this, but my husband and I are not the handiest people. I'm returning the rack and trying to find one more logically made. I plan on hanging a full set of All-Clad pots on it, so it needs to be attached safely to the wall.
It's a shame, because it's a nice looking piece.
