The 3.5-inch paring knife’s compact size offers control and dexterity while a 6-inch sandwich knife cleanly cuts a peanut-butter-and-jelly in two--alongside a broad range of small-scale chopping tasks. Forming the set’s backbone, a multi-purpose 8-inch chef’s knife chops, dices, and slices everything from garlic cloves to pumpkins. Similar to other Wusthof knives, the blade, bolster, and tang of the Le Cordon Bleu line are precision-forged from a single piece of high-carbon, stain-resistant steel. However, this line uniquely features a half-bolster design created to reduce hand fatigue and form a lighter, more agile tool. Additionally, the bolster has an atypical rear garnishing point. Three steel rivets securely hold the black, synthetic handle in place while a full visible tang brings strength and balance.
