Not as advertised, but Cute

This product is not labeled anywhere as "Dimplex". I did alot of research before I purchased, and wanted a Dimplex, but the stove and the documentation state it is made by Electrolog. I did call the telephone number on the manual, and the answer was "Dimplex" in Canada. I was put on hold for 40 minutes by the auto-answer, and then when offered to leave a message, I did so but never received a call back.
The Dimplex website says they have manufacturing in the US, but this stove is Made in China. It is cute, and it does seem to work ok (although I detect a tinny sound coming from heater, and also there are flashes of light that come through the thermostat that project onto the wall and are very distracting at night), but I am not certain I have a Dimplex product. Amazon should change the listing as well. It's curious to me that they don't want to put their good name on this product, so because of how I was treated by them in my phone call, and if they don't see that it is fit to carry their good name, then it's not good enough for me and it's going back.

What a great product at a great price. Flame looks great, puts out tons of heat. Remote works well.
One thing this has that I did not realize is a thermostat. It will kick on the heating unit automatically once it detects that the room has cooled below your set point. Great feature.
It is somewhat small, great for a smaller room, but don't expect this to dominate the room as a monster type fireplace.
Free shipping was super fast. I ordered it on a Wednesday and got it on a Saturday.
I love mine and recommend it to others!

Great additional heating source

This little woodstove is great. I bought it to supplement my oil heat and it really does a good job of keeping my living room & dining room warm during the day so that my heater doesn't run constantly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it is supposed to be a DIMPLEX CS3311 electric stove and the name written on it is ELECTROLUX. Dimplex is nowhere to be found on the product. But it does work well, and I would recommend for other people to buy it.

Too Curious For This Heater In PA.

I really love this little heater. We run it for our living room, where we spend most of our time as a family and it keeps this entire room nice and warm. I have two other friends that went and bought this after seeing the realistic fire. I have one complaint about this heater the door on the front opens and i have a three year old that likes to play with the logs and screen. Wish i would have been aware of this fact with having a curious small child.
