Keep track of temperatures both inside and outdoors with this thermometer from industry leaders Taylor. Since 1851, Taylor has created thermometers of every kind, from candy-making thermometers to industrial freezer gauges. This digital thermometer provides precise temperatures, enabling users to plan appropriately for a sweltering day outside with an extra water bottle or pack a jacket for brisk mornings. The thermometer also shows indoor temperatures, signaling users to crack windows, draw shades, or adjust the thermostat to create greater comfort indoors. An attached ten-foot cable extends outside, using an external sensor to evaluate current conditions. The LCD display reveals the dual temperatures in digits 1-inch high. Indoor temperature measurement capabilities range from +23 to +122 degrees F, while outdoor temperatures range from -58 to +158 degrees F. Users can also read the temperature in Celsius measurements. Measures within 0.2F of my expensive calibration unit and across several of these received from Amazon they all are within 0.2F of each other when in calibration scenario. They respond to changes slightly slower than my calibration unit but not enough slower to affect their use. I would have preferred C sized batteries for longer life.

we stuck the wire out the window but it's in direct sunlight and the outside temp is completly wrong. have to tinker with the location and see if it works better in a shady area but i'm afraid it'll read to cool. The inside temp works fine. i don't really think it was worth the money.

Missing Min/Max Reset Capability

Sure, it measures temperature accurately, as well as recording min and max values since reset. The problem is, there isn't a way to reset the min/max values without, as the manual says: "simply remove the batteries".
Huh? It has buttons...use them...the previous Taylor I had (in the same price range) reset via button.

Liked it, so I just bought another one

Works like a charm, unlike the wireless one which I finally gave up on.
One thing is missing: a bracket to hold the sensor away from the side of your house or whatever. The picture on this page shows a little wire bracket, but that did not come with mine.
The instructions say to reset the high/low temperatures, you need to remove the batteries! I don't care about that, but if you do, I would not recommend this unit.

Hi, this is a gret thermometer. It has a very long cable for outdoor temp. It is quite simple to use and understand. It could change the display to Celcius degrees.
