CHEAP HARDWARE
»
We bought a set of lamps approx. one year ago. The price seemed a little high, but the lamps appeared to be well-made and aesthetically pleasing. After 6 months, we experienced a problem with one of the lamps. The off/on knob "stripped," making the light inoperable. We wrote it off as a factory defect. Last week, the other lamp had the same problem occur, now making both of them unusable. I ended up taking them to a small appliance repair shop. The repairman informed me that although the fixtures themselves were well made, the interior "guts" were cheap and doomed to break or malfunction.
We did not buy these lamps at a Walmart, K-Mart or a discount/outlet store. We paid a respectable amount of money for lamps which became useless due to a cheap $4.00 socket component. We do not recommend these lamps to anyone until the manufacturer upgrades the interior hardware!

Wall mount swing arm lamps

Having these wall mounted lamps frees up space on the bedside tables. I like the swing arm so I can swing it closer for reading.

I lit up when I opened the box.

Beautiful substantial lamps. More detail and nicer than I expected from the picture. Shade was a bit darker then shown in picture, but nice. The light swivels at the base and in the center. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Editing to say this cost $79.95 when I bought it. I hope they didn't raise the price because I gave it a good review. I don't think I would have bought it at the higher price.
