A necessity for Syrah fans
»
After trying different glasses, the Sommeliers Hermitage glass is by far the best. In a side-by-side comparison with the Syrah glass in the Riedel Vinum series, the Sommeliers glass enhanced the aromas of the wine as well as the flavors. I like the Vinum series and recommend it as well, but the Sommeliers is even better. The look and feel of the glass is exceptional; I highly recommend it to all fans of the Syrah grape.

Can truly taste the difference
»
I bought this glass for my wife (who has a great interest and enjoyment of good wine) as a Christmas gift. Last night, she tried out the glass with a friend. The reviews from both of them were quite something to watch. The wine from this glass tasted far, far superior to the same wine from an "ordinary" red wine glass. In fact, they poured the remaining wine from the "ordinary" glass into this glass and shared the glass all evening. There was really no doubt that this glass made the wine drinking experience a totally different, superior one.

Beautiful but........

Definitely focuses the flavor and aroma of the finest Hermitage, shiraz , etc......but the the glasses do not feel as delicate, and refined as my other sommelier series do. Maybe because they are hand made? I compared the ones I bought on amazon to another set at a local store. The glasses at the store felt lighter . Otherwise, the glasses are excellent! Go figure? Oh, and there was a small bubble on one of the glasses. Not a distraction after filled with wine, but ..............$60.00 a glass !!!
